It is all depends on how you live your lives. If you are looking for fully furnished apartment at city area ie Kuala Lumpur, Damansara, you will be spending around RM3,000 and above for renting fees. You may get lower rate if you choose to stay a little bit far from there. Are you planning to buy or just rent a car? Cheapest car you can get here is about RM42,000, a mini car (example like Perodua Viva). If you plan on renting, Honda CRV will cost you about RM2,000 per month, depending on year of manufacture. So, it is all depends on you. The budget can start from RM4,000 per month to whatever it might be.

i did for 2 years in KL Racism prevails there too not apparent but hidden. It depends where you come from ? just do your business and enjoy your life , the life is pretty good just keep a good distance from local black tamils and local malays. don't poke your nose with taxi drivers, don't go alone in dark corners loud talking is not accepted there very nicely. just keep your head straight and keep fcuking the beautiful chinese girls the immigration is lousy , they never give PR status to an Indian , impose cooling off in a job change and also discriminate in visa also.
