Daisy Rock Guitars? Nice... Assuming you are buying from the US, it can take anything from 2 weeks to 5 weeks, depending on what services you are using. A regular postal service is cheaper, but takes longer time to deliver. And also a bit risky for big items like a guitar. I would recommend to use courier services (like UPS, DHL) as they are way faster (maybe in about 1 week) and most importantly, they are very safe and secure. Fragile items will be looked after carefully. And you can track the item as it is being shipped between destinations. But cost-wise, it can be quite expensive.

Has anybody here been to or lived in Malaysia

Has anybody here been to or lived in Malaysia?
My company is offering me a higher pay but it would require me to live in Malaysia. Has anybody been there or lived there or have any information on that country you may please share. Btw I already posted a question in Malaysia category therefore I just wanted to get others perspective. Edit: I am not "back" or anything like that just needed some answer to this question.Anyways I wish you guys are fine and coping with life well @Angelo: That's very thoughtful, I missed you too. @BUSH/ISRAEL=WARCRIMINAL: Thanks alot for link and your support. I can't believe they said all those nasty stuff about me behind my back and some of them I don't even know and I can't imaging some of them actually said those stuff. But extremists are extremists they are expected to say such things and because of them this section has become so negative recently

Which part of Malaysia and what will you be doing? I think you probably like it.

Yes, lived there for a year a while back. I was mostly in Petalying Jaya (sp) and Kuala Lumpaur. Its right hand drive, the food is good (I love satay). There are plenty of western / american things (TV, movies, etc). The government is a it strange, there are lots of chinese, indian, and other non-malay people, but the government is pretty much only malay and muslim. Its very warm, pretty much 75-95F all year long. There are plenty of things to do and places to visit, you are just a drive away from singapore, and a short flight to Thailand.

Never been there but I know many Lebanese who live and work there and it's a nice country if you don't mind the humidity. Living cost is cheap.

With Lebanon in existence You should consider it instead.

I am currently temporarily living in Asia (Singapore) its very near Malaysia I have been to Malaysia a several times. I think its ok to have a vacation there but for long term living I would say Bahrain is a better choice as Malaysia isnt that developed. The people there are quite conservative not Islamofanatics but I heard some state there have islamic laws. One more important thing about living in Asia is that Asians are very racist. Since you are Arab you will experience it because the Asians are racist towards any non-Asians (Eg Whites/ Blacks). So my personal suggestion would be that you stay in Bahrain because malaysia isn't as developed and the people sucks so it would be worth it unless the raise is very high

Yes, i think there will be import duties.
2 :
Custom duties and import policies vary across countries. It would be best that you visit the institution in charge of importing goods in Malaysia, or at least read up on the import policies from their website. Hope this helps! :)
