Is it better to live in Singapore or Malaysia?
Picture you got 2 job offer, 1 in Singapore with $2500/month, and the other in Malaysia with RM4500/month. Which one will you take? Of course with living cost and savings as the only perspective. Please heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelppp...!!! Thank youuu!!! ;)))

So many things to take into consideration. Currently every Singaporean dollar is worth 2.3 Malaysian ringgit. So taking the job in S'pore would be better but that is only one part of the quation. You also need to take into consideration how much taxes you will have to pay, what it will cost to have a roof over your head (whether you rent or buy your future home), to put food in your stomach. So take a piece of paper or use your computer and figure out how much it would cost to live in each country. Include everything that will have you spending money on something. For example (and I'm just guessing on the figure here), in Singapore, you may spend 900 on rent, 100 on transportation, 250 on food/groceries, 75 on entertainment. In Malaysia, you may spend 700, 150, 200, and 50 respectively. In my simple example, purely looking at money, Malaysia would be the better choice. But you also need to take into consideration whether you prefer living in Malaysia or Singapore, where your friends and family are, where you like the food better and even the pace of life. Don't base your decision purely on a monetary one. And make sure that which ever job you take you take for yourself as a means of advancing yourself, your mind, your heart and your soul. Good luck!

I tried to make a hotel reservation online but the problem is that almost all of them required a credit card and I don't have one. Is there any travel agency in Malaysia where I can go and pay cash? yes there are many travel agencies which could do bookings for you. Try First Travel and Tours, Reliance, sinisini.com (go to the website and call them to find out their location, If i were not mistaken, their office is in Cheras) and many others Bukit Bintang esp Sungei Wang Plaza has many tours offices.

Its traditional to give cash at chinese weddings.
2 :
ask them if they are registered - you can't go wrong that way.
3 :
In that region Gold is very much appreciated and usually given to the bride and should be a a pure yellow variety usually 18-21k American gold is not much appreciated around the world because it has low carat and is not yellow as it should be. Also tea is a part of both of there cultures so you may consider a high quality tea service set. This will be much appreciated and held onto for many years especially if it is a good quality. No doubt they will have many visitors after the wedding and it will come in handy.

Cash is a traditional gift in Asian countries. I would stick some cash in a red envelope and give it to them at the wedding. Putting cash in a red envelope is traditional for the Chinese. Remember, also, that four is an unlucky number, anything but four items is good, eight is ok, too. White is a symbol of death, as are picture frames, knives and clocks.

hmmm i'm a malaysian... you can give anything to the both reception. something like dinner set??? maybe?? but back in malaysia, chinese community always gave a cash money put it in the red envelop. besides it is much easier is'nt it?
