What is the price of a can of coke Where you live

What is the price of a can of coke Where you live?
What is the price of a can of coke ( in US Dollars) in say...your average grocery store Where you live? If you're curious as to why I'm asking, its just my way of estimating how expensive a place is. P.S: Where I live (Malaysia) its RM 1.50 ( USD$0.42)

roughly 0.75 USD a 250 ml alluminium can
2 :
In the southern half of Illinois (U.S.) I pay about $0.70 to $0.80 at a gas station. And about $0.55 to $0.60 if I get one out of a coke machine. Sometimes, in liquor stores, they can be one dollar. You might pay more in the northern part of the state, though. I don't know.
3 :
You're lucky, I just bought one! :-) In the supermarket in Belgium it's 0.46 euros for a 33cl can. That would be about 0.60 USD.
4 :
In Georgia is about .89 in a store. Out of a coke machine is .75
5 :
To buy a single can at a convenience store it is usually .75 - 1.00. If you buy a 12 pack at a grocery store its 2.99 - 3.99 so .25 to .33 per can.
6 :
Can you believe that the the Coke machine in the office where I work, the price is still $.50 ! Most place in Michigan though, there is a $.10 deposit fee, on top of the regular price.
7 :
UK 60p = $1.13
8 :
Some places value a can of coke more than others. Some places have higher, or no, taxes than others. I don't know that the "can of coke" index is good for estimating "how expensive a place is." The "McDonald's Index" is probably more accurate for this. Copenhagen, Denmark: 13 DKK from a vending machine, about $2.25 USD. Coke is readily available, but not valued in this generally health-conscious society. Also, tax accounts for 25% of the price.
9 :
In Bahrain, a can of Coke is 100 fils - about $.38. Not bad.......
10 :
it costs $1:50 or at some other shops $2:00

Yes, even in KL RM3500 is ok, u can live in a 2 room apartment, drive a simple car, go for mamak restaurants for food, go for movies every weekend and still have some left for saving. But its not much, for sure. Compare it with your lifestyle wherever you are now and decide wisely.
2 :
That depends. Will your accommodation and transport be provided by your employer? If not, then you'll need to look into renting options, either alone or with friends. Depending on location and type of residence, it can be as low a MYR 100 a month to over MYR1,000. Then you need to look into furnishing and utilities. Do you intend to eat out, or cook? Food shouldn't cost much, unless you're a very large eater with expensive tastes. If you eat out everyday, it may cost you between MYR 300 to MYR 500 a month. It is considerably much, much less if you cook. But you'd have to factor in the cost of cooking utensils, maybe a rice cooker, a stove top and gas. All in all, you won't be saving much the first few months, if you are starting from scratch. But you'll be able to save quite a bit later, depending on how frugal you can be, and the currency exchange rate between Malaysia and your country. Since you said your salary will be 'gross', find out if there will be compulsory deductions to your pay, like employee benefits, insurance, medical fees, immigration, etc, and whether these payments will be one-off or a monthly thing. Then you'll be able to gauge just how much is left for you. Also, find out if your employer will be giving you an advance to get you started, or will only start paying your salary after a month's employment.

With that amount I am running a family of 4

i thinks is enough
5 :
more than enough but it depending on you what life you want too
6 :
i think it's enough if u rent a RM250/month room, live on rm100 per week, and around rm120/month for transportation (if u commute by LRT). this way, ur expenses will be RM770 per month. u could save more than enough for ur family. but in my situation, i can barely live with RM4500 per month. money is always a problem.
