I'll answer on Malaysia because i am more familliar with it. First of all you need to find a Malaysian employer. Once both you and the prospective employer have agreed upon all the terms of employment, your employer will apply for a working permit for you. I believe you are from India. To enable the employer to apply for your working permit, you have to furnish a copy of your passport, proof of your academic qualifications or any other special skills. If you have direct contact with the employer, you do not need to go through an employment agency at in India. When the working permit is ready, then you may start working with your employer. If you have no means at all in finding a Malaysian employer yourself, then you have no option but to go to an employment agency in India. However, please be aware that there are many scams involving these agencies. Find a reputable and reliable one even if it means you might have to pay more.

I lived in Malaysia and will be travelling to Japan in the next month, should i buy an adapter for the plug?
I'll be travelling to Japan next week and i thought of bringing my laptop and camera. Is the plug different from malaysia?i just know that the voltage there is 100v.

Sure. It's different from Malaysia. But you can buy an adapter at an airport in Japan.
2 :
Yes the voltage in Japan is 100V. Just buy the multi voltage plug in Malaysia before u travel. Your laptop power supply can handle 100 to 240 volt, just plug into the adaptor and it will work as normal. Japan normally use 2 pin only. Camera can normally work 100 to 240V for Japan type camera, pls check your voltage input or your power supply if it is not a Japanese version camera.
3 :
1- Check your laptop and camera battery charger/adapter if its auto or dual voltages ( 100V~220V ) 2-Make sure the plug prongs are of the 2 pins flat type. 3-Normally the chargers for cameras are of 2 pins round type if purchase in Malaysia . Get the 2 pins flat type , normally sold at RM 1 4-The adapter for laptop if purchase in Malaysia are of the 3 pins British standard. You need to open the plug or get a "power pin changer" from any electronics shops. Normally sold at RM 4-RM8 5-Get all this done while in Malaysia , so no need to fumbles and runs around in Japan. 6- Same type of power plugs applies if you ever go to USA , Canada , China and Thailand . Except Thai and China is at 220V .

Before I could dispense advice, let us know your budget.
2 :
I would love to recommend you to live in these neighborhoods as they are popular among the expats- Kenny Hills aka Bukit Tunku Bukit Damansara aka Damansara Heights http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bukit_Damansara Sri Hartamas http://srihartamas.com/ Apartment rentals starts from RM4,000 and above House: Most houses in this area are Bungalows with rentals starts from RM15,000 & above
3 :
Taman tun dr. ismail and petaling jaya..
4 :
Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
5 :
i have to say Bangsar and Bukit Damansara have the best neighbourhoods and also damn expensive too... Mutiara Damansara is also a good place, the security is ok and the rental would be RM600++ monthly (need to survey first) and very convenient too as near to The Curve, IKEA.... Damansara Perdana very good but expensive... if you have tight budget, can check out at Flora Damansara (near Damansara Perdana) where the apartment will be RM400-RM600 per month....but the security is quite low and packed too....hard to find parking unless you had bought the parking space... so there are pro and cons depend on your budget where you are planning to stay....

TTDI PEACE =D

I would say Bangsar and Mont Kiara/Hartamas. Both fave of expats, convenient with lots of restaurants, watering holes, international school & amenities. You'll probably meet many of your countrymen here! Others would be areas around Mutiara Damansara, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Damansara Perdana for the same reasons and also that these locations are close to malls, cinemas, hypermarkets, gyms, etc.

Hi , What is your budget? Most of the house for expat living here is spacious . And it has from 3 - 5 rooms on average . I would recommend the are of Damansara Heghts , Mont Kiara, Bangsar, Ampang. These area are about 5 - 8 km from the city centre.
