I already know that silver is free and gold is not. What can you do on silver card membership and what connection do you need, internet? How/where can you get silver/gold card memberships?p.s,I live in malaysia. Can you get old xbox games on silver? Can you play online on silver? Can you get free downloads on silver? Where can you get Microsoft points? 10pts best answer. Wait a minute, can you use wi-fi too?

Silver is a free membership that you can sign up for when anytime as soon as you connect your box to an internet source. With Silver you have full access to xbox live, you can download old games, new xbla games, dlc, songs, shows, basically everything that is available from xbl you can access with silver. You can even communicate with other players on your friends list, and you will still get the patches and updates for the games you are playing. The only thing you can't actually do is play online with silver, you have to purchase the gold membership to be able to play against other players online. So if you want all the perks of having xbl without actually playing multi-player online games than silver is exactly what you want, plus it's free!

yeah you pretty mcuh can't do anything on a silver account besides download things. duh you need the internet connection, you start out with silver once you join live but when you pay for gold then you either get 1 month 3 months or a year depending on how much you pay. yes you can still play old games on silver, no you cant play online with silver, no you can't get free downloads with silver, and you can buy microsoft points at a convinience store like target or you can buy them on marketplace. but trust me get gold.
